Founded in 1977, The Neurosurgical & Spine Institute of Savannah stands as one of the largest private neurosurgical practices on the East Coast. Our team consists of 11 highly trained neurosurgeons, all of whom are board-certified or board-eligible, specializing in both surgical and nonsurgical treatments for a wide range of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions. We provide expert care for various conditions, including brain tumors, spine injuries, strokes, epilepsy, congenital disorders, concussions, neck and lower back pain, and pituitary tumors.

Dr. Lindley is a skilled, board-certified neurosurgeon with extensive expertise in treating both spinal and intracranial conditions at the Neurosurgical & Spine Institute of Savannah. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a general surgery internship and a neurosurgery residency at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine/Wake Forest University Medical Center.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lindley developed a profound passion for addressing complex spine disorders, which has become the cornerstone of his practice. His specialized areas include minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical and lumbar disc replacement, spinal deformities, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, spinal cord injuries, and trauma.

Dr. Lindley’s research experience is extensive, having served as the principal investigator for numerous clinical trials at Memorial Health. Notably, he performed the first-ever posterolateral lumbar disc replacement in the U.S. in 2010. His outstanding contributions to the field earned him the prestigious Georgia Medical Society Health Care Heroes Award in 2011.

Dr. Lindley is a member of several esteemed medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the International Society of Spine Surgery, and the Southern Neurosurgical Society. He has authored numerous articles, presentations, and book chapters on topics ranging from degenerative spinal conditions to intracranial meningiomas, aneurysms, spinal tumors, and head injuries.

With decades of surgical experience, Dr. Lindley firmly believes that the key to successful treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis. He dedicates time to thoroughly understanding each patient’s unique condition, ensuring the most effective and personalized care.
