Barbour Orthopaedics
Dr. Barbour is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Barbour graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1996 and completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. During his training at the University of Miami, he trained under the guidance of orthopaedic surgeons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins, which provided him with tremendous experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries. He then spent another year receiving additional specialized training in sports medicine as a fellow with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s Sports Medicine Department in Palo Alto, California, where he worked with the San Jose Sharks Hockey Team, the Oakland Raiders Football Team, and the United States Rugby Team.
Dr. Barbour is one of the few physicians in the nation performing arthroscopic hip surgery and biologic joint surgery for the relief of joint pain. He cares for several local high schools and has treated a number of professional, college, and amateur athletes. He is actively involved in several orthopaedic and healthcare organizations. He’s authored several publications, including co-authoring a chapter in a leading textbook, has edited numerous articles and been a frequent lecturer on a variety of healthcare topics.
